1. Write a short paragraph about ‘Yourself’ answering the following questions.

My Self
Ans. : My name is Dipu. I live in Dhaka. The name of my school is Ideal School. I am in class five. Our school starts at 11.15 am and finishes at 4:30 pm. I am at the day shift. There is also a morning shift in our school. I am studying Bengali, English, Math, Social Science, General Science and Religious studies. I go to school very much home by rickshaw. I like our school very much because the teachers are friendly. Moreover, there is a field where we can play games and there are many trees around.
2. Write a short paragraph about ‘Your best friends’, Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. Why does one choose friend?
b. What is his/ her name?
c. How is his/ her help?
d. How is his/ her characteristics?
e. How is his/ her habit?
f. How is his/ her parents?

My best friends
Ans.: Man is a social being. He cannot live alone. So he wants company. Mr. Belal is my best friend. He is frank, truthful, sincere and friendly. He helps me much, when I feel a problem. Moreover, we help each other. His habit is appreciable. His parents are very good and like me very much. I love him from the core of my heart.
3. Write a short paragraph about ‘Your School’, Include the following points in your paragraph.

b. Where is it?
c. How many students are there in the school?
d. How many teachers are there in the school?

My School
Ans.: The name of my school is Aslampur Primary School. It is in Sonapur town. The school has two hundred students and eight teachers. The school has brick walls with a tin roof. There are seven rooms in the school. Five rooms are for classes, one room is for the teachers and the other is for the Head Teacher. There is a big playground in front of the school. I like to play in the field very much.
4. Write a short paragraph about ‘Common Birds of Bangladesh’, Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What are the common birds of Bangladesh?
b. Why do we call them common?
c. How does a parrot look?
d. Why is the cuckoo called a seasonal bird?
e. In which season can we see the cuckoo?
f. Where do birds usually live?

Common Birds of Bangladesh
Ans.: There are many birds seen in our country. All are not common. But some are common, such as the crow, the parrot, the martin etc. Parrot has a red beak and a long tail. Its feathers are green. The cuckoo is a seasonal bird we see it in the spring. Birds live in trees. Birds want to be free and fly in the sky freely.
5. Write a short paragraph about ‘Your Country’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What is the name of your country?
b. What is the capital of it?
c. What is the total land area of it?
d. How is its population?
e. What are its main crops? f. What are its main rivers?

My Country
Ans.: The name of our country is Bangladesh. It became independent in 1971. Dhaka is its capital. Bangladesh is a small country. Its land area is 1,47,570 square kilometres. But it has a large population. About 140 million people live here. Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. Its main crops are rice, jute, sugar-cane and tea. Many kinds of fruits also grow her. Jack-fruits, mangoes, bananas, pine-apples, guavas and water-melons are the most common. My country has also many rivers. The main rivers are the Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna and the Karnaphuly.
6. Write a short paragraph about ‘Picnic’. Include the following points in your paragraph
a. What is a common word to each student?
b. Who have some experience of picnic?
c. What does it remove?
d. How can the students start this lessons?

Picnic
Ans.: ‘Picnic’ is a common word to each student. It removes monotony and agony of the students. It refreshes the students mind. Students can start their lessons with new enthusiasm. Each school, college and university arranges picnic every year specially in the winter season. The students can enjoy this a lot.
7. Write a short paragraph about ‘Eid Day’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. How many Eids are for Muslim?
b. Who were wearing new payjamas and panjabi?
c. Where do people gather for Eid prayer?
d. What do they do after the Eid prayer?
e. What do people utter in this day?
f. What dishes are prepared?

Eid Day
Ans.: For Muslims there are two Eids in a year. All the Muslim people wear new payjamas and panjabis in the Eid Day. People assemble in the Eidgah for Eid prayer. After the Eid prayer, people embrace with each other. People utter ‘Eid Mubarak’ in this day. Special dishes like ‘firni’, ‘Jarda’, ‘Polao’, ‘Korma’ etc. are made. Each visits their relatives house.
8. Write a short paragraph about ‘Mohakhali Flyover’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What is the reason of building flyover?
b. What is a flyover?
c. What is the year of its building
d. What is the length and width?
e. How high is the centre from the ground?
f. Who constructed it? g. What is its usefulness?
Mohakhali Flyover
Ans.: To lessen the degree of traffic jam nowadays flyover is built. A flyover is a road, It is built on pillars over another road, In 2005 Mohakhali Flyover was built. Its length is 1.8 kilometres and width is 14.63 metres excluding the sidewalk. A Chinese company has constructed it with the expense to Tk. 136 crore. It can save our valuable time lessening traffic jam.
9. Write a short paragraph about ‘Your Village’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What is the name of your village?
b. Where it is situated?
c. How many people are there?
d. How many educational institutions are there?
e. What is your village famous for?
f. How is the natural scenery of your village?

My Village
Ans.: Darirampur is the name of my village. Its total land area is four square kilomeres. There are five thousand people in our village. A madrasha, two govt. primary schools, a high school etc. are situated in our village. It is also famous for the living place of our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Our villagers live in peace and prosperity.
10. Write a short paragraph about ‘Your Favourite Game’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What is the name of your favourite game?
b. Is it a common and popular game in Bangladesh?

My Favourite Game
Ans.: Cricket is my favourite game. Now a days it is the most common and popular game in Bangladesh. Two teams play this game simultaneously. In each team, there are eleven players. I play this game with my friends. This game is very interesting and so it is my favourite game.
11. Write a short paragraph about ‘A Book Fair’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. Where is it held?
b. What occasion does it arrange on?
c. How is the environment of a book fair?
d. What kinds of books are sold in it?
e. Who buy the books?

A Book Fair
Ans.: A book fair is held in such a place where many stalls are set up to sell books. The environment of book fair is very charming. Leading writers are present there. The books of rhymes, jokes, stories, dictionaries with pictures, novels, etc. are sold in the book fair, We, the students of class five, joined a book fair last year. In fact, a book fair is conducive to make people enlightened.
12. Write a short paragraph about ‘The Zoo’. Include the following points in your paragraph.
a. What kind of place is this?
b. Where does the concept Zoo?
c. What kind of place for the public?
d. Who can be able to know about animals and reptiles etc?
e. How does it help the students?

The Zoo
Ans.: Zoo is a place, which is the abode of preserved animals. It is an open-up place for public exhibition with the exchange of ticket. The preserved animals are collected not only from the own country but also from all over the world. The students of very tender age can introduce themselves with the zoological arena. The zoo is a restricted area and is supervised by a caretaker. We have also a National Zoo, which is situated at Mirpur, Dhaka.
