Rules on Cloze Test with clues for SSC/HSC Exam

Cloze test with clues -এর কয়েকটি নিয়ম 
 নিচে Detached Sentence-এর ওপর Cloze test with clues-এর কিছু সহজ Rules বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হলো:
Rule-1: Introductory Subject ‘it/there’...+ Verb+Article—a/an/the থাকলে ব্রাকেট (—)-এর মধ্যস্থিত Word-টি Noun হয়ে যায়। অতঃপর Preposition না থাকলে Suitable Preposition বসাতে হয়। যেমন—
Ques. It is the—(believe) the climatologists that the greenhouse effect is the most likely cause of this global warming.
Ans. belief of.
Note : তবে মনে রাখতে হবে যে ব্রাকেটের অব্যবহিত পরেই যদি that বা অন্য কোনো ধরনের Linker থাকে, তাহলে Preposition বসবে না। যেমন—
Ques. There is a—(possible) that the southern part of the country may one day go under water.
Ans. possibility.
Rule-2: সাধারণত Sentence-এর শুরুতে Article—a/an/the বসলে তার পরেই ব্রাকেটের মধ্যস্থিত word থাকলে সেটি Noun হয়ে যায়। Preposition না থাকলে তা আনতে হয়। যেমন—
Ques. The—(safe) the earth’s wild creatures is necessary to save ourselves.
Ans. safety of.
Ques. The—(cruel) human beings is responsible for the destruction of plants and animals.
Ans. cruelty of.
Note : কিন্তু ব্রাকেটের মধ্যস্থিত word-টির পরেই যদি Noun থাকে, তাহলে পর পর দুটি Noun না বসে ব্রাকেটের মধ্যস্থিত word-টির Adjective form হয়। যেমন—Ques. The—(roast) duck tempted the cook. Ans. roasted.
Ques. The greenhouse effect is a—(global) phenomenon. Ans. global.
Ques. The—(symbol) significance of Iron Bridge was great. Ans. symbolic.
Rule-3 : Preposition গুলোর পরে সাধারণত Verb-এর শেষে ing যোগ করে gap পূরণ করা যায়। কিন্তু এদের পরে যদি Article যোগ হয়, তাহলে ব্রাকেটের মধ্যস্থিত শব্দটির Noun form হয়। যেমন—
Ques. All species are necessary in the environment for—(maintain) ecological balance. Ans. maintaining.
Ques. We are facing new kinds of problems for the—(destroy) of wild animals.
Ans. destruction.
Ques. The British are fond of—(take) different kinds of food. Ans. taking.
Rule-4: The reason of, because of, on account, of, inspire of, owing to+Possessive Case থাকলে তৎপরবর্তী ব্রাকেটের মধ্যস্থিত word-টি Noun হয়ে যায়। এ ক্ষেত্রে Preposition না থাকলে তা আনতে হয়। যেমন—
Ques. The reason of his—(refuse) taking money was that he held himself responsible for the breaking of the axe-handle.
Ans. refusal of.
Ques. Jerry thought that it was for his—(careless) the axe-handle broke.
Ans. carelessness.
