বঙ্গানুবাদ: অলিম্পিক খেলা গ্রিসের অলিম্পিয়া শহরের নামানুসারে হয়েছে। প্রাচীনকালে গ্রিস অনেক নগরে বিভক্ত ছিল। তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে যুদ্ধ করত। ইফিটোস নামে এক ব্যক্তি এ রকম নাশকতামূলক সংঘর্ষের ব্যাপারে উদ্বিগ্ন হলেন। দেশে শান্তি স্থাপন করতে তিনে এক পরিকল্পনা আঁটেন। তাঁর পরিকল্পনা ভালোই কাজ করেছিল।
